Hello all my dear creative friends and readers! I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving holiday! I'm very excited that we are entering December--everyone seems to be a bit brighter and happier during this month. I think that is my favorite part-the goodwill and joy of men.
As you know, I'm absolutely CRAZY over my CRI-KITS EMBOSSING set! I love it! So today I have  a  quick tutorial for you using the Cri-Kits embossing set, blue thin metal from Cri-Kits, and my Celebrate Winter file. You will need a computerized digital program like SCAL or MTC if you are using a cricut. All other formats available as well (knk wpc gsd dxf ai eps, etc)

Hello everyone! I hope EVERYONE is having a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving! Why am I blogging? Because my boys are both at my parents house 6 hours away and my hubby is watching football with his brother, and its' count-down time till Midnight at Walmart.
I never go to Black Friday sales--my mother does, my sister does--everyone I know does. I do not. I can't stand the stress and crowds--what a baby, right? lol
Well tonight at 12:01 I'm going to Walmart to see if the Cricut Lite Carts are on sale-if they are, I'm going to get a few! If they are not, I'm coming home to go to bed! lol

4. Sharon of RSMobley Designs--ever meet someone who was just so down to earth and good? Well then you will have looked in the face of Sharon. Sharon seriously gets up everday ready to conquer any battle that comes her way--and she has a lot! You GO SHARON! You are a rock!

5. Brenda of Creativity is Only a State of Mind--man this girl is just precious--I've never ever heard her say anything unless it's incredibly uplifting and positive. She teaches cricut classes as well--and I'd love to attend one of her classes--because she just seems like such an incredible person that I'd love to meet in person!

6. Tammy of  OBX Stamping and Crafting--Tammy is a busy cricky and mom who finds time to post super cute projects on her blog. She is also very smart and happens to quickly notice things that others may not. She has a special talent for this and incredible DESIGN!

7. Kim of Kim's Card Corner is one of those very loyal girls who never fails to comment on my blog posts. Man that is just such an incredible encouragement to me, and she is in a FULL body brace! Now that is a smile in the midst of a storm! You go girl!

8. Chris of Scrappin' Chris is just the CANDIED NUT in the FRUITBOWL of life--man she is hilarious and cheers me constantly with her witty and sweet emails. Chris you my dear friend--make life interesting! Thank you!

Let it Snow--Embossed Snowflakes with Cricut, Free Emboss N Cut Files!

Hello everyone! I hope each of you had a wonderful and restful weekend. I spent today reading and making a few Christmas cards. I absolutely love the effect embossing has on vellum and the frosty vellum just lends itself to snowflakes.
I WISH you could see how beautifully embossed these snowflakes are--but I just couldn't get them to photograph well today.

formats are SVG, MTC and SCAL. The snowflakes are meant to be embossed not cut using Cri-Kits embosser, and the sentiment is meant to be doodled on using Cri-Kits gel pens, and the bracket tag is meant to be cut.

New Cricut Lite Cartridges! what do you guys think???

Finally Provocraft has posted the NEW Cricut Lite carts that will be available at Walmart for Black Friday. What do you guys think?? I personally like the Jolly Holidays and Four Legged Friends the best. They are all very whimsical except Zooday and Inspired Heart--but I love whimsical, so it suits me. However, I think those are the only two I'll be buying!
Its interesting how the new boxes are just like the Imagine Boxes--I wondered if they might be doing that when I pulled out my first Imagine cartridges from HSN.

Coffee Wrap!

Hello everyone! A dear blog reader and friend from my Yahoo group, Shell, was in dire need of a wrap for coffee cups to send to soldiers overseas...so I created this one for her--and thought I would share it with all of my blog followers! Pop over to Shell's brand new blog that she just started today and wish her well doing all that she does for our Troops overseas! My hubby has been gone much of our marriage overseas since 9/11, and it is VERY hard for my children to understand. He missed seeing them walk, say their first word, start school--and it's VERY hard for him. So THANK YOU to everyone who makes these sacrifices to keep our country free.


HOW DO I USE a cutting file? If you have a cricut, then you must have one of these two programs: Make the Cut or Sure Cuts A Lot (I have a link to both of these on my sidebar under "I SUGGEST". These programs allow you to cut SVGS and other free files without needing a cartridge! The best $ you will ever spend!
