Whoo Loves you by Heather Lynn

Hi all! It's Heather Lynn  from Random Recipes, Paper Crafts, and Photos here today to share a couple of projects with you using Kristal's awesome stamps! Thank you so much, Kristal, for asking me to guest design for Getting Cricky today! I am so excited to be here!!

So, I have a simple card tutorial to share. Here is what I used for this card~

Core'dinations cardstock  in "Grandma's Rocker" and "Canvas Texture"
Scalloped Circle Card cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge at 5 inches and Scalloped Circle Frame also cut at 5 inches
Felt owl
Tim Holtz stickers
Ranger Archival Ink in Sepia
Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
ink dobber for inking edges
Brown Lace
K. Andrew Design Stamp set "Owly Hoo Sentiments"
Scissors
ATG

After gathering all of the things you need, ink the edges of the card and scalloped circle with the Vintage Photo distress ink.

Then, go ahead and stamp your sentiment on the card like this.

Next, ink the circle that was left after cutting the scalloped frame, stamp sentiment, and add inside the card.

Lastly, add the felt owl, stickers and brown lace bow and you are done. Here's the finished card!

Hope you like my card today! It is really a fast and simple card. I also have another project I want to show you all using Kristal's stamps. On this project I used "Owly Hoo Sentiments" again and "Fashionable Friends". I bought a plain wood organizer at goodwill for $1 to use in my craft room but it was really blah and I wanted to jazz it up a little. I spray painted it orange, added papers, and used my favorite stamps. Here's how it turned out!

Here is the back.

I just love Kristal's stamps! They turned out crisp and perfect the first time and I have used them on all kinds of projects!  Here's a preview of  the K. Andrew Design Stamps that I used for my creations!

Not only are Kristal's stamps awesome but a portion of every stamp set sold goes to charity! You gotta  LOVE that!! Thank you all for stopping by Getting Cricky today and a HUGE thank you to Kristal for having me!!  Hope you all have a great day!

Wishing you a...From Patricia

Hi everyone! This is Patricia from Creative Diva.

Today I have a special card to show you. My cousin's daughter will be turning 1 this weekend and she is planning her first birthday in a week or so. Since the theme of her birthday party will be Ladybugs, I thought I should make her a card with a Ladybug on it. I am sure she is going to treasure this card forever. I used Create a Critter to cut the Ladybug Cut out. This is also one of my favorite cartridges. For the inside of the card, I decided to add some flowers to make the inside more interesting. So for the front of the card, it reads "Wishing you a" and the Inside of the cards reads "happy 1st birthday." I used different letters and words from the Splashtastic Summer Stamp set to create Happy Birthday.

As for the sentiment, I used the K.Andrews Stamp Set: Splashtastic Summer to create the sentiment: "Wishing you a" and  "happy birthday."

Nuts About YOU by Amy :)

Hey, there!!  Hi, there!!  How ya doin' today???  It's Amy :) at www.lovetocrop.com here to share another project with you today!!  I'm so excited to be able to see all the FUN ways my Getting Cricky Design Team Sisters have been showcasing all of Kristal's stamp sets...  Aren't you just LOVING all the goodies they've been creating??? Today, I'd like to share a special little project that I made for a very special someone who love Twizzlers as much as I do!!  ;) AND, I'm kinda NUTS about this very special dad too!!  :)
Anyone who knows me knows that I love, love, LOVE to reuse my cans and glass bottles...  I think it's an inexpensive way to create special gifts for loved ones, teachers, friends, and more!!  This gift idea was created entirely from paper scraps, a few feet of ribbon, and a length of floral wire -- The only "investment" I made was for the Twizzlers (which, of course, I had on hand...  Even though I might have to buy some more before the can reaches its destination!!).  Despite the actual "cost" of this item, handmade gifts are always appreciated in our family (because a handmade gift always includes the priceless addition of LOVE!!)...
To create my can, I started by sponge painting some metallic silver paint on the outside and upper inside of the can.  I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole on either side of the can and would some floral wire that I had twisted into a spiral to be used as a handle.  A 2.75" strip of black cardstock (trimmed to the fit around the can), and a 1.75" strip of red cardstock (inked on the edges with black and faux-stitched with my white Signo pen) created the base for my nuts and bolts!!
To create the 3D nuts, I could have used my Cricut (with the help of my Gypsy), but I was working on the fly, so I punched the circles first, then used a hexagon punch to punch around the circles (these were punched from metallic silver cardstock).  I used an embossing tool on a foam mat to add score lines for texture, then mounted each nut using foam tape so I could gently press the edges around the tape (giving it dimension similar to real nuts!!)...  I used the punched circles to create a few bolt "tops" -- I again used my embossing tool to give it a little dimension and add the "X" to the bolt tops...
I used one of my NEW favorite Stamp Art Sets for this project... "All About Animals"!!  Isn't the font on that sentiment just darling???  I just love how clearly Kristal's images stamp -- They are great not only for regular stamping, but also heat embossing!!  I'm just NUTS about these stamps!!  :)  If you'd like to make this set YOURS today, simply click on the stamp preview below...

Oh No you Didn't from Heather

Hey All! Heather here from Heather's Crafty Space. Happy Memorial Day!
Hope you all are having a great weekend and enjoying time with your
family and friends. I know I have been having a fabulous weekend just
hanging with my family!

I don't know if I have mentioned this but I LOVE being on the Getting
Cricky Design Team! What an amazing bunch of girls I have the pleasure
of working with. And Kristal's Stamps, well they ROCK but you already
know that! We have some amazing Guest Designers as well. The projects
everyone comes up with continue to wow and inspire me! So thank you
all for that.

Today I wanted to create a couple cards that stick with the Disney
theme we have going at the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge. I
was having fun with my newest stamp set "Southern Sayings" and making
all sorts of stuff. But here are a few of my favs from what I made...

My first card is Bloat from Finding Nemo...

.He is cut from the Best of Pixar Cartridge at 3  inches and the
bubbles are cut from there as well at 3, 2, 1 1/2 and 2 inches and the
seaweed is cut at 3 inches. His colors do not match his character as
much as I had hoped but I love the saying "oh No you didn't!" to go
with him because it just seems like something he would say as he blows
up because he is so worked up!

Here is a close up of the saying...

The next card I made was Donald Duck. I love this cut of him throwing
a fit in true Donald Fashion. I thought it went perfect with the
saying "Don't have a Duck Fit". Cracks me right up. Donald is cut from
the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge at 5inches.

The last card I made is Winnie the Pooh. He is thinking long and hard
on whether or not he wants that honey. ;) He is cut from the Pooh and
friend Cartridge at 3 inches as are all the rest of the pieces.

"That's the... Bee's knees" is the sentiment I chose for this card.

So that is all the fun I have had with this amazing set....

Hurry up and order your copy of "Southern Sayings" in Kristal's store!!!

And don't forget if you have a Disney project enter it in the Simply
Sunday Challenge! You have until Saturday at midnight. Need some
inspiration? Check out all the awesome project the Design Team have
come up with and be sure to check out the project that people have
already entered! They are amazing! If you have a chance leave some
bloggie love for them as well. They worked really hard on their
projects!

Well that is all from me for now! Have a blessed day friends!!!

Sky's the limit from Gloria

Happy Saturday crafty friends. I am so happy to be hijacking Getting Cricky today.

Today is a pretty special day in our family. My nephew has been working toward this day for 13 years. He is graduating and will be leaving for the National Guard soon and then it will be off to college. They grow up way too fast.

I made him a pretty cool card and I hope it is masculine enough for him. His school colors are green and silver. I used Twisted Lime Trendy Twine to make the tassle and even though you can't really see it in the photo the glitter in the center is green and silver.
On the inside of the card I made a slot for a Starbuck's gift card.
The sentiment on the front of the card is from K Andrew Designs
"Of Mice & Lil Men"
K Andrew Designs
I used all 3 awesome K Andrew Designs "Coffee" sets on the inside of the card and they look pretty dang fantastic.
"Coffee & Tea for You & Me"
K Andrew Designs
"Coffee & Tea Time"

"Coffee & Tea Treats"

If you would like to add any of the crafty supplies, I used on my project, to your crafty stash just click on the pictures above to make it so.

While you are checking out these amazing stamp sets take a look at the new twine Kristal has added to the store at a terrific value.

Have a safe weekend and Happy Crafting.

Nuts about you! from Patti

Happy Friday Everyone.  It is my extreme privilege to bring you today's project here at Getting Cricky.  I can't begin to tell you how much fun it is to be a part of this amazingly talented design team.  My fellow Design Team Sisters ALWAYS inspire me and challenge me to try new things.  I wanted to share a cute little card I made using "All About Animals"stamp set.

I love using Kraft paper for my cards.  Especially those that have 'outdoorsy critters' on them.  This little squirrel paper piecing can be found at Paper Piecings By Nikki.  I had so much fun making her and the little nut she is clutching.  Kristal's "NUTS ABOUT YOU" sentiment is from "All About Animals" and stamps perfectly right on her tail. I love that Kristal's stamps fit on most of the cricut piecings or paper piecings  that I use.   I'm really pleased with how she came out.

Now...K. Andrew Design Stamps has come out with a brand new stamp set called, "More Food For Thought."  If it had arrived in time, the saying would have been, "What a Nut."  I have been stalking my mailbox and waiting for my delivery.  If you haven't had a chance to see "Guy Talk" and "Southern Sayings", two more new sets - or the bakers twine (100 yards for $5), you don't know what you are missing.  Make sure you stop by and stock up on these new stamps and the twine, while they are in stock!
